Therapy & Counselling

A space to think clearly and feel supported

One-to-one psychological counselling with a registered psychologist — by telehealth across Australia, or in person in Melbourne.

Therapy that meets you where you are

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Some are managing something specific — anxiety, low mood, stress.

Others simply want a considered, confidential space to make sense of where life is heading.

Wherever you're starting from, the aim is the same: to understand what's going on and find a way forward that fits you. How you connect with your psychologist matters as much as the approach itself.

If you'd like to check we're the right fit before committing, you're welcome to get in touch first.

What counselling can help with

A person sitting on a beige sofa, facing a therapist who is taking notes on a clipboard in a therapy or counseling session.

Some of the areas people commonly bring to therapy:

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Low mood and depression

  • Life transitions and finding direction

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences

  • Adjusting to illness or chronic health conditions

  • For skin-related distress, see our Psychodermatology area of special interest.

How we work together

Two people having a conversation during a counseling or therapy session, with one person taking notes on a clipboard.

Not all psychologists work the same way.

Sessions are collaborative and tailored to you, drawing on evidence-based approaches.

Before deciding on an approach, we’ll start by getting a background on your situation.

We'll then agree together on what you want to focus on, decide on a therapeutic approach, set some treatment goals, and review how things are going as we go.
